September Goals for the rest of 2019

Ah September. September is like a second January to me. Long after I've made (and forgotten about) my new years resolution September feels like another fresh start. A chance to focus on what you want to achieve and write down your 'to-do's' for the rest of the year. 

My January goals can often be quiet 'out there' and a lot of the things require a miracle to actually happen. My September goals are always a lot more realistic and are things that I genuinely plan to get done before year end. Well fingers crossed!

Get a new mattress

My mattress is years old and although I still find it comfy and I sleep no bother (seriously a category 5 hurricane wouldn't wake me up) I get a lot of aches and pains in my back and shoulders and I have to blame my ancient mattress for this. I'm going to have to bite the bullet, raid the piggy bank and sort this out by the end of the year before I end up a 30 year old cripple. 

Get back into photography

Years ago I used to be obsessed with photography and trying to capture great photos. I hate the fact that most of the photos I've used on my blog recently have been stock photos, not that there's anything wrong with that, it just makes me sad that it used to be such a passion of mine and now I feel like I've totally lost my mojo and haven't gotten behind the camera in ages. I really want to try to get this passion back, I need to find my confidence and just jump back in to it. If you guys have any recommendations for good cameras that are affordable and will make me fall back in love with snapping again please lemme know!

Find new ways to relax

Lately I've been finding it really difficult to relax and unwind in the evenings after work. I don't know why but the happenings and interactions of the day just keep going through my head and I can't seem to switch off. It is such a stress! I have been trying a few new things to help me relax more in the evenings such as listening to podcasts, having little pamper nights and finding new shows on Netflix to watch but it's proving difficult. If I find something good that works for me I will definitely do a blog post on it. 

Find a new hobby/club

This kinda relates to my previous point in that I want to find something to escape to that will take my mind off my daily stresses. I've started a yoga class on Tuesday evening which I am loving but I'm interested in finding something else too. I've been looking into joining a salsa class, mostly for the social aspect of it but I'm such an introvert that I really need to build up the courage to dance in front of strangers. If I got back into photography that would tick this off the list too!
