5 Hopes for 2017

Hey everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I can't believe it's 2017. It sounds like such a futuristic year but it's hear it, upon us. I hate the idea of  'new year, new me' because that ain't ever happening. My old habits ain't going to change just because the calander does! But I do love this time of year because it is the ultimate fresh start, a time to think about what it is you would like to happen over the next 12 months. So I thought I would of course jump on the bandwagon and share a little list of what I hope for in 2017.

Be a GOOD blogger.
I just want to blog regularly. I only wrote a measly 38 posts in 2016 which is pretty pathetic considering I wrote 94 and 137 in the years previous. I really enjoy blogging and I benefit from it so much but my problem is finding the time and the inspiration. I look at people like Vix Meldrew, Robowecop and Sophie Rosie who like me, lead very busy lives but still make time to absolutely kill it at blogging. I aim to be a little more like them this year. I want to update my design, get a domain name, take better photos, plan posts and just make sure I find time to blog.

Tone up.
Oh a health wish. How unique! Seriously though I need to tone up this year. I'm not overweight but I have a wobbly belly and thighs and honestly, I'm super self conscious about them. I never used to have them but I guess my metabolism is slowing down as I get older. Also my boyfriend and I eat out a lot, so I partly blame him. He can afford it since he goes to the gym every single day and stays super lean whilst I'm turning into a blob. I'm determined to eat healthier this year and I'm going to push myself with exercise too. Maybe even give the gym another try!

Read at least 2 books a month.
I don't read much but I want that to change. When I do read I really enjoy it so I'm going to try my best to fit in at least 2 a month. This will help with point 1 as well as it will provide some content for my blog; I would love to do some book reviews! I've purchased my January books and am almost half way through the first so I'm doing well! If you have any recommendations, do share!

Spend more time outdoors.
Lately I've been spending hardly any time at all outside. With it only being bright for a few hours a day and me working all through those hours most days it's virtually impossible, I guess I could go out in the dark but...hell nah! This year I want to be outside whenever possible, whether it's to go for a walk or just sit out and breathe in some fresh air. So many times this year I've stayed in on my laptop while the sun was shining outside. It's so rare here that it's not raining so I don't want to waste a minute.

Be more energetic.
For pretty much as long as I remember I have spent most days not having as much energy as I would like. No matter how much sleep I get I usually feel exhausted at some point of the day and there really is nothing worse. I feel like if I could sort this out I would be able to do so much more, I would definitely be more likely to complete my previous hopes as come evening all I usually want to do is lay on the sofa and switch off. I'm determined to find out what I need to do differently to have more energy all through the day and become more productive. If you guys have any tips, I would love you forever!

How are you all feeling about a new year? I'm honestly feeling great and very hopeful for it. Have you made any new year resolutions or anything of the sort? If you've done a similar blog post to this I would love for you to link it in the comments so I can go and have a nose!
